New Hampshire’s Christmas Cow

Does your moooo-d change for the worse with the approach of the holiday season?  Are you noticing that December’s loss of daily sunlight makes you feel grumpy? There is a cure.

Drive away the winter blues and consider creating a cow-themed Christmas tree.   There are plenty of local shops and businesses that sell cow-related items of all sizes and sorts–or you can make your own.

I’ve created several themed trees–from ‘Cirque du Solei’ with high wire acrobats strung on fishing line across the ceiling, to ‘Mardi Gras’ themed cutouts with Crewe float ornaments and purple-gold-green lights. Don’t you agree that a cow-themed tree would create the perfect spirit for New Hampshire winter celebrations?

Renee Wesoja of Highwayview Farm in Boscawen, New Hampshire has the right idea. Delightedly moooo-ving photographs of her cows as pseudo-reindeer were recently taken by MacKenzie Lordon, who graciously allowed me to post them here.

Ho ho ho … or is it moo moo moo? However you celebrate the season, may yours be jolly and bright.
